Mini Group is seeking to recruit a proactive and technical CCTV Technician to handle the installation, configuration, and maintenance of surveillance systems to ensure high-quality security operations.

Position Summary

Reporting to the CCTV Engineer – Project Manager , the CCTV Technician will be responsible for ensuring proper connectivity, functionality, and optimization of security camera networks. This role involves working closely with engineers to maintain system efficiency and ensure compliance with strict security standards.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

a) Installation and Configuration

• Install and configure both IP and analog CCTV cameras, NVRs, and DVRs.

• Lay and terminate fiber optic, coaxial, and Ethernet cables for data transmission.

• Assist in the setup of wireless links and remote monitoring systems.

• Perform site surveys to recommend optimal camera placement and coverage.

b) Maintenance, Repairs and Safety

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and repairs on all surveillance equipment.

• Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with safety and security protocols.

• Collaborate with engineers to optimize surveillance network performance and reliability.

c) Troubleshooting and System Optimization

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to camera feeds, power supply, and connectivity.

• Work with the engineering team to optimize video quality and overall system performance.

• Identify and resolve technical issues timely to reduce system downtime.

d) Reports & Reporting

• Document all incidents, system downtimes, and troubleshooting activities.

• Provide regular reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and system performance to management.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance logs for future reference.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in CCTV installation and maintenance.

• Proficient with IP and analog systems, specifically Hikvision, Huawei, and Dahua.

• Strong knowledge of fiber optic splicing, structured cabling, and wireless transmission.

• Familiarity with networking principles (TCP/IP) and power backup systems like UPS and solar power.

• Certification in CCTV installation or networking is an added advantage.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in high-security environments.
