On behalf of Mini Group, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Category Manager for the Detergents, Pharmaceuticals, and Household (DPH) product category. This position is responsible for driving category growth, margin optimisation, and market competitiveness by leading pricing strategies, assortments, key account relationships, and market execution.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Category Manager will manage the full commercial strategy of the DPH category, overseeing key account management, portfolio planning, distribution growth, promotional activities, and performance reporting. The role will directly supervise the Sales Team Lead – DPH and Sales Representative – DPH, while collaborating with the marketing and procurement teams to ensure strong execution across all channels.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Category Strategy & Portfolio Management: Develop and execute the annual DPH category plan covering pricing, assortment, promotions, and distribution targets. Conduct quarterly SKU reviews based on performance data, and recommend actions (additions, deletions, prioritization).
- Key Account Management: Own relationships with key retail accounts (Naivas, Carrefour, QuickMart, Cleanshelf) and manage commercial terms such as pricing, promotions, rebates, and shelf space allocations.
- Sales Team Leadership & Execution: Lead the DPH Sales Team to meet targets and ensure high-performance levels; support the alignment of in-store execution, activations, and category rollout plans.
- Financial & Commercial Accountability: Deliver monthly category performance reports, ensuring pricing and promotional agreements are documented and approved before implementation.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity, track product launches, and provide strategic insights to improve market positioning.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- 5-7 years experience in FMCG, pharmaceuticals, personal care, or wholesale distribution environments, preferably within DPH categories.
- Proven experience in category management, key account management, and trade marketing.
- Strong exposure to retail chains, distributors, and multi-account commercial environments.
- Leadership experience, including managing sales teams and field execution.
