On behalf of an internal client, we are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Boiler Operator to manage boiler systems providing steam and hot water for avocado processing operations. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient boiler operation while adhering to all safety regulations and maintenance procedures.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Boiler Operator will operate and monitor boiler systems, perform routine maintenance, respond to boiler-related emergencies, and maintain accurate operational and maintenance records. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and the ability to support production goals.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate boilers to generate steam and hot water for processing equipment.
• Perform startup and shutdown procedures safely in accordance with SOPs.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of boiler equipment.
• Assist in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs as required.
• Monitor fuel, water treatment, and energy efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of operations, fuel consumption, maintenance, and safety checks.
• Respond promptly to boiler malfunctions, leaks, or pressure fluctuations.
• Support safety compliance, reporting potential hazards immediately.
• Assist skilled technicians (electricians, plumbers, HVAC) as needed.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in boiler maintenance or HVAC operations, preferably in food processing or manufacturing.
• Valid Boiler Operator License or certification is required. Experience with high-pressure steam boilers is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and food processing standards.
