JOB VACANCY SENIOR HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

Mini Group consulting company Eleven Degrees Consulting Limited, is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced Senior Human Resources Officer (SHRO) on a Fixed Term Contract to support the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs across the organization, while strengthening employee relations, HR reporting, and HRIS administration.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Officer will serve as the principal assistant to the Head of HR and support key HR functions including HR programs implementation, HRIS, recruitment and staffing, employee and industrial relations, performance management, learning and development, leave management, payroll inputs support, and HR reporting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

a) HR Programs & HR Operations
Support implementation of HR programs, procedures, and guidelines aligned to business strategy; assist in departmental measurements and HR initiatives supporting company goals.

b) Recruitment & Staffing
Support line managers in recruitment processes to ensure hiring is within policy and candidates are communicated to on time; support onboarding and staffing requirements.

c) Employee & Industrial Relations
Support employee relations practices that promote positive employee-employer relationships; advise line managers on employee relations matters in line with HR policies and employment laws; support employee communication and feedback channels.

d) Leave & Payroll Inputs Support
Oversee leave scheduling and utilization compliance; support processing and submission of payroll inputs when required.

e) Performance Management & Learning
Support implementation of performance management systems including JDs, KPIs, appraisal tools, PDPs, and employee development programs; support HR learning initiatives as assigned.

f) HR Reporting & HRIS Records
Maintain accurate employee records (physical and electronic) and compile required HR data; prepare and present periodic HR reports as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or equivalent; Higher National Diploma in HR is an added advantage; IHRM membership is mandatory; CHRP certification is desired; at least 6 years HR experience in a labour-intensive/unionisable environment; minimum 3 years hands-on HRMIS experience; strong understanding of Kenyan labour laws and industrial relations.
